I was taught to "never judge a book by its cover". Well I just did it yesterday and now I am regretting it!
The book turned out to be mostly a big, boring and basic rambling on how to be a better salesperson. I don't have anything against salespersons, but some recommendations given by the author are very manipulative in nature. For instance, here's a random "technique" from the book:
Whenever a friend agrees to a favour, allow your generous buddy time to relish the joy of his or her beneficence before you make them pay the piper. How long? At least 24 hours.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WAITING FOR THAT LONG SO THAT YOU CAN MAKE THE KIND PERSON BE HAPPY FOR GIVING YOU A FAVOUR! You may get a nice sales out of it, but I would be fucked if you can …

Other basic "techniques" are not very useful for me, such as the one on maintaining eye contact. Bruh, I bought this book so I can learn how to do things like maintaining eye contact, not to learn about the advantages of doing so!
I have completely read the preface and a couple of starting chapters but no way in hell am I gonna finish reading this book.
